Sales Delivery: Direct or Flip from Sales Order
Purpose of Sales Delivery
- Sales Delivery in Highnix ERP serves the crucial purpose of ensuring a seamless and efficient process for delivering products to customers. It is a pivotal component in the sales cycle, allowing businesses to fulfill customer orders and maintain accurate records of product deliveries.
Types of Sales Delivery There are two primary types of Sales Delivery in Highnix ERP:
- Direct Delivery
- Direct Delivery involves delivering products directly to the customer without being associated with a specific sales order. This method is useful for cases where a customer places an immediate request, and the order is not linked to a previously generated sales order.
- Delivery Against Sales Order (Flipped Delivery)
- Delivery Against Sales Order, also known as Flipped Delivery, is the process of delivering products based on an existing sales order. This type ensures that the delivered items are associated with a pre-approved sales order, providing a structured approach to order fulfillment.
Notes
- It's essential to consider the following notes before initiating a Sales Delivery:
- Items and Inventory: Before creating a Sales Delivery, ensure that at least one product item is entered into the "Items and Inventory" database. This guarantees accurate tracking and management of the delivered products.
- Add and Manage Customers: To facilitate the Sales Delivery process, it's necessary to have at least one customer record created under "Add and Manage Customers." This step ensures that the delivery is associated with a specific customer, maintaining a comprehensive customer database.
- Sales Quotation Permission: Before generating a Sales Delivery, make sure you have the necessary permission to enter sales quotations. This permission ensures that the sales team can create and manage quotations effectively.
