Journal Inquiry

The Journal Inquiry feature allows users to search for a wide range of business transactions, including sales, purchases, inventory, and general ledger (GL) transactions.

Search Filters

Users can refine their search and retrieve records using the following filters:

• Reference: Search by a specific reference number associated with the transaction.
• Transaction Types: Filter transactions by type, such as sales, purchases, inventory movements, etc.
• Date Range: Specify a "From" and "To" date to narrow down transactions within a specific period.
• Memo: Search for transactions by entering specific words or characters contained in the memo field.
• Show Closed Transactions: Include closed transactions in the search results.

Note on "Show Closed Transactions"

If the "Show Closed Transactions" checkbox is selected, the system will include both open and closed transactions in the search results. This option also retrieves the associated GL records. Since GL records are merely representations of the transactions, a closed transaction may appear multiple times in the results if it is recorded in different data sources.
